This play revisits colonialism in the 1970s and puts a magnifying glass on this decade as this form of racism continues. An American intelligence agent charms and recruits a young African woman to unwittingly spy for the government while he renews his romance with his high school flame. Dejen, a young African and brother of the young woman, sacrifices his own safety to save his family from the turbulence of civil war.

One character is an undercover FBI agent who spies on another character suspected of being a Russian Agent. He is accused of reading the Russian director Stanislavski’s “An Actor Prepares.” He denies reading the method acting manual. The lack of character development is proof that no one read the Russian propoganda.
